THE STORY BEHIND

Meet Jaime,
the founder and fishing devotee.

His story with fishing starts even before he was born, since his father was a Marine Engineer and the sea was always part of his life; even his dog was named Goleta (Schooner)!

Jaime was introduced to fishing at age 7, when his dad took him on a fishing trip and even though they didn’t catch anything, he knew at that moment, THIS would be his passion for life.

Fifty four years later, and many Fishing Championships wins after, Jaime opens his own saltwater Fishing Lodge with the dream and passion of bringing anglers together to share fishing experiences every day. A place where fishing is life!

Meet Paco,
your host & manager

His first approach to the sea was at 4 months old, when his father introduced him to playing among the waves, he dreamed of being able to breathe under the sea, reason why he later became a certified freediver and rescue diver.

He operated restaurants and bars in different parts of the world for 7 years in order to develop his taste for cooking and serving his customers.

Passionate about transmitting and teaching his work with sharks and whales, we are very excited to work together with Catch, Tag and Release that we are now implementing at Casa Nabani.

CONCEPT

Name

CASA NABANI’s name is inspired by the Zapotec culture, a prehispanic civilization that still to this date resides in southern Oaxaca and other regions of Mexico. Zapotecs preserve their original language and rich traditions where life, nature and it’s conservation takes center stage. «Nabani» in Zapotec means «the meaning of life».CASA NABANI is the home («casa» in Spanish) where life has a meaning; because for us, fishing is life.

In CASA NABANI we believe that good vibes are above luck. We know how unpredictable fishing is, which is why we trust that a good attitude will always attract good vibes overall.
