CASA NABANI is the first sustainable saltwater Fishing Lodge in the Mexican Southwest Pacific, and as such, we take actions to help conservation of fish and other species to be able to improve the oceans’ well-being and its fauna.
In each fishing trip, we encourage sustainable fishing through Catch & Release, as well as Tag & Release, and partnering with Gray’s Multi-species Fish Tagging Program. You can have the full fishing experience and take a fish trophy home, while supporting sustainable fishing.
The International Game Fish Association (IGFA) is home to CASA NABANI. Fishing for us is serious business, and we honor every practice to its core.
At Casa Nabani we are not only proud to have a IGFA certified weigh station but also have the honor to have an IGFA Certified Captain as part of our team.
IGFA has maintained its standing as the foremost authority on game fish and angling related matters, whichi having an IGFA captain and an IGFA weigh station guarantees that the best fishing practices are carried out at Casa Nabani.

Aka “Mundo”
Originally from Huatulco, Oaxaca
He started fishing helping his father when he was 19 years old.
His favorite fish to eat and catch is red snapper.
In his free time he likes to surf in Copalita, but his favorite spot is Barra de la Cruz.
He also really enjoys freediving.
Aka “Pilo”
Originally from Huatulco, Oaxaca.
He started fishing when he was 6 years old since he used to live in front of the bay.
He loves jigging and trolling.
His favorite fish to eat are red snapper and grouper.
He also really enjoys playing soccer.
Aka “Toligo”
He started driving panga boats at age 13 while learning to fish.
At age 17, he began to captain ships.
His favorite fish to catch is marlin, because of the good fight they put out and how difficult they are to catch.
He likes to eat tuna and dorado.
He has captained almost all the coasts of the Mexican Pacific from Ensenada to Huatulco.
His hobbies are fishing and customer service.
His favorite part of the day is how customers always return home with a smile after a day out fishing.
